The Wife of the Vice Chairman, Saki West Local Government, and Political Head of Wewe LCDA, Mrs. Nasmot Olajumoke Tiamiyu, has urged parents and guardians to ensure proper upbringing of their children for the betterment of society.
Mrs Tiamiyu made this call during her visit to celebrate the baby of the year at the Council’s Primary Health Care Center in Otun, Saki.
At the event, Mrs. Olajumoke Tiamiyu presented gift items and a cash donation to Mrs. Rofiat Akeem, the mother of the baby of the year, a bouncing baby girl delivered at 4:55 am on Wednesday.
The Chairperson, however, emphasized the importance of proper upbringing in enhancing academic and moral performance.
Mrs. Akeem expressed her deep gratitude to Mrs. Tiamiyu, the Political Head, Hon. Oyedokun Tiamiyu, and the management of Wewe LCDA for their kindness.
In her brief remark, the Matron of the Primary Health Care Center, Mrs. Sarah Akanni, also thanked the Chairperson for her motherly care and advised the baby’s mother to use the gifts wisely.
Present at the event were Alhaja Mulikat Tiamiyu, Mrs Latifat Oyesade, Mr. Mathew Akanni, Acting Deputy Director of Education and Social Services; Mrs. Temilade Ogunsola, Acting Information Officer and Mrs Rashidat Jamiu.
