The APC has suspended Kogi guber campaign.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has decided to temporarily halt its campaign for the Kogi Governorship Election scheduled for November 11th. This decision is a gesture of respect in honor of Ms. Khadijat Yahaya, a party member who tragically lost her life following an attack by suspected thugs.

According to Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, the spokesperson for the state Campaign Council, this suspension comes after a clash between supporters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and APC in Kotonkarfe on September 29th, which resulted in Khadijat’s untimely death.

In a show of sympathy and compassion, Alhaji Usman Ododo, the state APC governorship candidate, visited Khadijat’s family in Kotonkarfe to express his shock at her passing and offer prayers for her soul. The family expressed gratitude for his visit, noting that it demonstrated his compassionate leadership and commitment to his constituents.

During his visit to the Palace of the Ohimege of Kotonkarfe, Alhaji Abdulrazak Koto, Ododo expressed sadness over Khadijat’s demise and praised her as a woman of peace who sought development in Kotonkarfe. He vowed to ensure justice for her family.
