His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr,) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin 1), the Olubadan of Ibadanland, has expressed his condolences on the death of Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin Kastina, the Sarkin Sasa Sadauna Yamma and Chairman of the Council of Arewa Traditional Rulers in the 17 Southern States of Nigeria
Oba Olakulehin described the passing on of the Chairman of Northern Chiefs in Southern Nigeria as a sad loss noting his role in forging a harmonious and peaceful relationship between the Arewa community and other ethnic nationalities in Ibadanland and across Southern Nigeria.

The demise of Sarkin Sasa is the end of an era marked by peaceful and harmonious relationships of ethic nationalities and the Arewa Community in Southern Nigeria. His125 years on earth were eventful as his good deeds impacted the Arewa community in Ibadanland and across the length and breadth of the nation.
“Sarkin Sasa’s passing is a sad loss not only to the Hausa/Fulani community but to the good people of Oyo State. The vacuum created would be difficult to fill. I pray that Almighty Allah grants him Aljannah Firdaus and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss“
Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin Kastina who passed on Saturday was buried on Sunday according to Islamic rites at his residence in the Sasa community, Akinyele Local Government Area, Ibadan, Oyo State.
