The Executive Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, OYOSUBEB, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Chief Michael Koleoso.
In a statement on Thursday, Adeniran described the late former national chairman of the Alliance for Democracy, as a forthright politician and true patriot.
Adeniran noted that Chief Koleoso was bold, open-minded, and always ready to support the right cause.
He expressed condolences to the Emi Abata Dynasty of Saki in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State, and Pa Koleoso’s immediate family.
According to Adeniran, Pa Koleoso was a thoroughbred progressive and a selfless leader, whose immense contributions led to his success as the Chairman Ibadan Southwest LGA between 1999 and 2002.
“Chief Michael Koleoso’s contribution to the AD at that time was unquantifiable. He played pivotal roles at my formative stage as a politician and in my journey through politics. As the Chairman, Alliance for Democracy (during the late Lam Adesina’s administration, when I was the Executive Chairman, Ibadan South-West Local Government) and as the SSG, I enjoyed his support”, Adeniran said.
“Pa Koleoso was honest and a man of integrity. Death is inevitable, but as humans, we do not want to lose good people who make positive contributions, like Pa. Koleoso”, he said.
He added that the Saki-born politician and former Secretary to the Oyo State Government wrote his name in gold as an exemplary leader.
“I commiserate with the Koleoso family, and I pray to God to grant eternal repose to the soul of Babalaje”, he said.
“Goodnight, sir!”
