Oyo Project Monitoring Agency Visits Alayande Varsity ….. Commends VC for exemplary leadership

As part of the mandates of his Agency, the Chairman, Oyo State Project Monitoring Agency, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu on Wednesday led other management members of the Agency to Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo on an official visit to assess governmental projects in the institution.

In a release made available by the Media and Public Relations Officer, ‘Wale Adeoye the Vice Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan while welcoming the team to his Erelu Office appreciates the Agency Chairman, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu and his team for taking out time to visit the University.

According to him, “I heartily welcome you on behalf of the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Professor Ayoade Olayiwola Ogunkunle and my management team to our University- Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo. It is an institution with a rich history of over 128 years. By the benevolence of the Visitor to the University, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE and the approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC), this institution became upgraded on December 16, 2022 to a University” he stated.

“We have undergone resource verification with the NUC and got approval to run fifty (50) courses while we have matriculated 2,700 pioneer students. I must appreciate our amiable Governor for the support we are enjoying from his government, particularly, the approval of a take-off grant for our institution. We are therefore grateful to you and your team for coming on an assessment visit. I therefore wish you a happy stay,” he added.

In his remarks, the Chairman, Oyo State Project Monitoring Agency, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu appreciated His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE for setting up the Project Monitoring Agency which he superintends.

According to him, “I am happy to lead my team to your institution today as part of our Agency’s statutory functions. Let me congratulate the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan on your appointment which is clocking one year in a couple of days. You will all agree with me that our Governor’s passion for education is aunprecedented in Oyo State. His actions since the inception of his administration justify my assertion. Look at LAUTECH sole ownership and the Iseyin Campus built by the administration of our dynamic Governor”

“The upgrade of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo is another testament to the vision of His Excellency. I am happy that His Excellency has not made a mistake in his choice of the Vice-Chancellor as your report presentation was brief, coherent and articulated. I assure you that we shall give appropriate feedback to the Governor, particularly on the construction of the pedestrian bridge in front of the University. This, if done, will ease the movement of students and members of the University community. Let me round off by thanking the Management for your hospitality. On behalf of my team, I appreciate you all.”

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju the Olaniyan accompanied by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibrahim Olatunde Salawu, University Bursar, Mr Olawole Adebayo Ojetola, FCA and the Director of Works and Maintenance, Arc. Hammed O. Amuda later conducted the Chairman and his team round the University to assess some of the ongoing projects and state of the University.
