Prof. Adelabu disclosed this at the commissioning and handing over ceremony of a renovated and remodelled school hall of IMG Grammar School, Yemetu, Ibadan.

The commissioner, represented by the Local Inspector of Education, Ibadan North, Mr Lukman Okesade, described the project as a landmark achievement that can stand the test of time in IMG Grammar School, Yemetu, Ibadan.

He charged the school management and students to make judicious use of the new facility which was donated by the Idagba Empowerment Foundation, a non-governmental organisation commited to humanitarian services.

In his address, the Philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer, Idagba Empowerment Foundation, Engr. Tosin Ogunsile, said his sojourn to the US has given him clarity on the roles non-governmental organisations have to play in supporting education system in Nigeria.

Encouraging Nigerians to return to their Alma mater and give their quota for future generations, Engr. Ogunsile said the project which was executed in collaboration with other donors both in the US and Nigeria, cost about six million naira.

In his words of appreciation to the Philanthropist, the school Principal, Mr. Shakirudeen Adewolu and relevant education stakeholders who acknowledged the magnitude and significance of the project to the school, urged more philanthropists in the state to join hands with Oyo State government in promoting quality of education in the State.

The renovation and remodeling project is the third summer school project of Idagba Empowerment Foundation in Oyo State since it’s establishment two years ago.
