NYSC Asks Nigerians To Protect Corp Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has expressed sorrow and grief regarding the tragic murder of one of its corps members, Joel Grace Chalya KD/23A/4386, who was in service in Kaduna.

In an official statement, the Director of Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, conveyed that the young lady, Joel Grace Chalya, was a victim of a heinous attack. She had decided to join her fellow corps members for a morning jog following her morning devotion when she was viciously assaulted by a group of criminals who not only harmed her but also took her mobile phone.

The statement also appeals to the public to collaborate with law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of all corps members posted in their communities. It emphasizes that corps members are not only the responsibility of the NYSC but should be safeguarded by all Nigerians as they are like family – our children, sisters, and brothers.
