CSU confirms diploma Tinubu submitted to INEC valid

The School Registrar, Caleb Westberg, has affirmed his willingness to provide testimony. Chicago State University (CSU) has asserted the validity of President Bola Tinubu’s diploma certificate submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Westberg, CSU’s Registrar, has also affirmed that Tinubu graduated from the institution on June 22, 1979.

Westberg stated that any discrepancies in the date, font, signature, or seal between the earlier issued certificate and the later certified copy are inconsequential, likely due to human errors. He made these statements in a seven-paragraph affidavit sworn before the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.

Furthermore, Westberg explained that in the U.S., diplomas are primarily ceremonial documents, with more reliance placed on transcripts rather than diplomas, although some other countries may attach greater importance to them.
