Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olushola Alao, has expressed deep condolences to the Okere of Saki land, Oba Khalid Olabisi Ayinla Ado (Oyedepo III), over demise of one of his wives, Olori Waliyat Olabisi
Olugbon, a first class monarch, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, expressed the condolences in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Wednesday.
He said he was yet to come to terms with the reality of the passage of Olori Waliyat Olabisi which occured on Tuesday, noting that she was described as loving, humane and charitable.
“On behalf of the good people of Orile-Igbon and members of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, I condole the Okere of Saki land, Oba Khalid Olabisi (Oyedepo III), over the passage of his queen, Waliyat Olabisi, on Tuesday.
“I received the news of her sudden passage with shock, and I am still struggling to come to terms with its reality.
“Queen Waliyat Olabisi was said to be loving, humane and charitable.
“My prayers are with Oba Olabisi and members of his immediate family. May God comfort the royal family and give them the fortitude to bear this painful loss,” Olugbon stated.
Oba Alao also commiserated with the entire people of Saki land over this loss, adding that the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs were saddened by the sad occurrence.
“The Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs is saddened with Queen Waliyat’s death.
“But we take solace in the good life she lived, her support for His Majesty and the love she showed to the people of Saki land which endeared her to them all.
“May God repose her soul,” the Olugbon added in the statement on Wednesday.
