OYMASED, NOA Team Up on Sensitization Drive

In a bid to promote the core values, the Oyo State Mobilization Agency for Social Development(OYMASED) as well as National Orientation Agency(NOA), have expressed their readiness to sensitize the residents of the state on the governments effort at addressing the economy of the state.

The Director General (DG) of OYMASED Dr. Morohunkola Thomus and the State Director of NOA, Dr. Olukemi Afolayan stated this during a courtesy visit to Oyo State NOA Director’s office in Ibadan.

The OYMASED DG emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two agencies. He acknowledged NOA’s three-decade experience and expertise in mobilization and sensitization, which would be valuable in addressing the state’s socio-economic development.

Dr. Thomas while highlighting OYMASED’s mission which is to promote the society core values and educate residents about the law and political process stressed that obedience to the law would enhance productivity and planning for future generations.

He outlined OYMASED’s plans as orientation of people from basic education to tertiary institutions, establishment of integrity club and collaboration with relevant organizations to sensitize the public.

In her own response, Dr. Olukemi Afolayan, State Director of NOA, commended the state government for establishing OYMASED and thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for appointing Dr. Morohunkola Thomus as the pioneer DG. She acknowledged that despite NOA’s efforts, some individuals still disregard the law, but believed that OYMASED’s establishment would provide a valuable partnership in progress.

‘The partnership between OYMASED and NOA marks a significant step towards enhancing productivity, adherence to the law, and overall socio-economic development in Oyo State’, she added.

Dr. Afolayan pledged to mobilize NOA staff to work alongside OYMASED staff, ensuring a united front in promoting socio-economic development in the state.
She emphasized the need for a collective effort to drive positive change.
