Prof A B O Desalu: A Tribute | By Abib Olamitoye

*PROF A B O DESALU: A TRIBUTE*

It feels awesome today, next to my teacher and mentor, along with my daughter.

We pose with a hero of many. My hero. My daughter’s hero.

Between 1980 and 1982, he was my professor, lecturer, and head of the department of Anatomy at the University of Ibadan. I became a doctor, MBBS, in 1985.

Between 2019 and 2022, this same sage was my daughter’s professor, lecturer, and head of the department of Anatomy at Babcock University. My daughter became a doctor, MBBS, just two days ago, August the 8th, 2024.

Very remarkable story! So unprecedented that it deserves a prominent page in the Guinness Book of Records.

A teacher of two generations of medical doctors, Prof A B O Desalu, a teacher of Anatomy for 61 years, thank you so much for being a palpable example of an unforgettable legend.
