Philantropists and other well-meaning Nigerians across the country have been implored to support early completion of ultra modern Oke-Alaro Muslim Community Medical Center in other to ensure qualitative and affordable healthcare delivery for the betterment of the populace.
A renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Muhiydeen Ajani Bello gave this charge in Ibadan on Saturday during the #500 million appeal fund for completion of Oke-Alaro Medical Center at Ajanla area of Ibadan which he described as a laudable project.
The Islamic Scholar also enjoined Muslim parents to always endeavor to sponsor their brilliant female children that are interested in studying medicine in order to produce more female medical doctors to enable them attend to female patients.
In his brief remark, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, the Executive Director of Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) urged wealthy muslim men and women to spend their resources in the course of Islam and humanity as directed by Almighty Allah (swt) through the holy Qur’an.
While commending the effort of the organizers of the programme, particularly members of the Planning Committee for their excellent performance, Prof. Akintola urged the entire members of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community to urgently inform their people from different part of the world and encourage them to contribute meaningfully towards the completion of the medical center.
In his words: “They are almost there as the structures of the ultra modern Medical Center are there already. But they need your support towards achieving their goal of providing qualitative and affordable medical care for Muslims without compromising the virtue and modesty of Muslim women”, he added.
Dr. Tajudeen Oladejo, South West Commissioner, National Hajj Commission in his remarks emphasized the importance of supporting construction of mosque and hospital as an highly commendable jihad that attracts great reward from Allah (swt) here in this world and the hereafter.
The Chief Imam of Oluyole Estate Extension Central Mosque, Alhaji (Dr) Mudashir Atanda Bada commended and prayed for the entire members of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community for their laudable efforts.
Earlier in his welcome address, Engr. Mudasiru Adesina, the Chairman of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community expressed his deep gratitude to the Guest Lecturer, Sheikh Muhiydeen Bello and other eminent personalities for honouring their invitation to the appeal fund programme.
He thereafter expressed his profund appreciation to members of the Executive Council, Mission Board and Planning Committee as well as the entire members of the Muslim Community for their commitment and support towards the completion of the medical center.
The Father of the Day at the event, Chief Bayo Oyero, who is also the Chairman of Ibadan Muslim Community showered encomium on the leadership of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community and urged other Muslim Communities in Ibadanland and other part of Oyo State to emulate such project.
Chief Oyero who was represented by the first Vice Chairman of Ibadan Muslim Community, Alhaji Abubakry Olasupo said early completion of the medical center will significantly improve qualitative healthcare delivery in Oke-Alaro Community of Ibadan in Ido Local Government area of Oyo State.
Other highlight of the event was the conferment of an Award of Appreciation on the donor of the land for the medical center, Alhaji Abass Bolaji Olasunkanmi which was presented by Sheikh Muhiydeen Bello.
The Guest Lecturer greatly commended Alhaji Abass Olasunkanmi for his kind gesture and prayed for Allah’s continuous protection and blessings on his family.
He thereafter offered special prayer for the invited guests and the entire members of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community.
